So that you are able to enjoy the cheese, we provide you with extensive online information about the cheesemakers and the cheeses themselves. We also strive to give you quick, accurate, reliable and friendly service in placing and receiving your order. In order to serve you with transparency, below is a listing of our policies. customer satisfaction
aboutcheese.ca guarantees your satisfaction with our service and products. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please call or email us for a full refund.

Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week via our web site.

about cheese accepts the following credit cards: Mastercard, Visa and American Express. All prices are subject to change without notice. Catalogue prices do not reflect tax or the cost of delivery. We do not ship c.o.d..

claims and exceptions
Please inspect your package immediately upon receipt. All claims must be filed within 24 hours of receipt. We will do everything possible to re-route orders for timely delivery but cannot be responsible for damaged or compromised product due to the following:

1. delayed deliveries due to weather or other "acts of god"
2. incorrect addresses
3. unopened shipments (all boxes are clearly marked "perishable")
4. gift shipments sent to recipients who are out of town or otherwise unavailable to receive their shipment. Please notify recipient of the pending arrival of perishables!

shipping and handling
It takes a day to receive and process your order.

All orders are shipped on Tuesday overnight for Wednesday delivery. aboutcheese.ca ships every Tuesday.

Orders placed before 10AM Monday will be automatically shipped on Tuesday, unless you have specified a future Tuesday ship date in the customer comment section of the check out form.

All orders are shipped with guaranteed arrival the following business day. In addition, orders shipping within Toronto may be sent by messenger.

Shipping rates are determined real time by FedEx, based on overnight shipment, the size and weight of your package.

Cheese Club shipments arrive on the first Wednesday of each month unless otherwise notified.

We ship all packages with signature release, so FedEx will leave it at your door if you are not available to receive it. We cannot ship to p.o. boxes. If you are not home and there is not a suitably protected place to leave the package FedEx may choose not to deliver it.

gift messages
A personalized gift note can be included with all of our products at no extra charge. You will be prompted to write a gift message when your online order is sent to a different name than the one used for purchase. Please be sure to include a signature!

cheese club
Your one-time charge includes the cheese boxes and monthly shipping charges.

Cheese Club shipments arrive on the first Wednesday of the month. If you will be unable to receive your cheese for any reason, please contact us at least 24 hours before the expected delivery date at (phone and email) to delay your shipment. Please note: if you specify a ship date for your order during checkout it will not apply to your Cheese Club selection!

gift certificates
Gift certificates will be emailed to the purchaser within 48 hours of purchase they are printable and contain a unique redemption code.

Gift certificates sold at aboutcheese.ca may only be redeemed at this website they will not be honoured at about cheese retail stores.

Gift certificates will be valid for 1 year from the date of activation.

credit card approvals
When your order is placed, your card will be charged. If items are not available to be shipped, a refund will be made to your card.

packaging
Your cheeses are packaged in insulated cartons and fitted with ice packs to ensure quality standards for up to 48 hours.

quality
Please note that to ensure quality, all cheese is cut to order. cutting cheese is an art, not a science. We do our very best to cut as accurately as possible.

product substitutions
Due to seasonal availability and supply limitations of artisan cheeses, we reserve the right to substitute items within collections. The substitutions are always complimentary to the collection and are of equal or greater quality.

privacy and security
aboutcheese.ca occasionally makes our list of customer names and addresses available to carefully screened companies and organizations which might be of interest to you. If you prefer not to be included in this opportunity, please send your information to us, exactly as it appears in any mailing from us, via email or fax to the contact locations listed above with a note requesting removal from mailing list.

supplying personal information
about cheese collects information from you at several different points on our web site in order to facilitate the delivery of services or the fulfillment of an order. there will be times, such as when placing an order, subscribing to a service, registering on the site, requesting a catalogue, at which we may request personal information such as your name, billing/shipping address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information, etc. it is solely your choice whether or not you provide this information. however, should you choose not to provide the information, we may be unable to process an order, fulfill a service, or display certain content on our web site.
